"Opening" Reception

A BIG, Gargantuan thank you to all everyone who played a role in helping out on the opening night on thursday 25th september. It was a success and we couldn't have done it without every single one of you.

On behalf of everyone, we'd like to thank the following parties and individuals:
First and foremost, OLD SCHOOL for their continual support in hosting our exhibition. Thanks for accomodating our artistic and logistic needs. Thank you Sam and Mabel for supporting young and local artists!

Also, thank you to all the lovely, gorgeous Front of house ladies from Arts Management.

Thanks to Juz Desserts for baking the brownies and cheesecakes and to A. Ang Seah and Hoe for sponsoring the very exquisite 2003 French Wine!

And of course, thanks to all the distinguished guests who made the pilgrimage up the precarious heights of Mt Sophia just to attend our opening reception!

Last but not least, thank you Mae Chong Yin for the cooler, of which our wine would be rancid, we love you very much it was a pity you couldn't be there. Thank you fellow AM classmates for your gifts and toasts! You're the best!

Hougang Primary School Visit

A great start to our exhibition! We had a fantastic bunch of students from a primary 5 class from Hougang Primary School as honoured guests today. We conducted a "curatour" where we explained the mediums used in all the artworks. The students also got the chance to meet the sculpture artists who even allowed them to touch and examine their sculptures. As part of "Insert Title", the students decorated the glass panels of the studio with colourful post-its, penned with their personal interpretation of all the art pieces.

We also brought the students on a tour of 2902 Gallery and Osage Gallery, also in the vacinity of the Old School complex.

A Big thank you to the students and teachers of Hougang primary for coming down and we hope you had an enjoyable and enriching experience.

Here's our step by step pictorial directions that will lead you to the door step of Art Studio @ Old School where "Insert Title" will be!

Step 1:
Exit from the rear of Dhoby Ghaut MRT or Plaza Singapura

Step 2:
Walk towards the condominium showroom

Step 3:
Locate monstrous flight of stairs behind showroom

Step 4:
The hardest part - conquer that flight of stairs and have a fat burning workout.

Step 5:
Follow the path after the stairs past a kindergarten

Until you see a white building - Old School!

A BIG, GARGANTUAN THANK YOU to all Artists, Sam and Ng from Old School management for the succesful exhibition set up today!
Tomorrow (18th Sept) will be the first day of our exhibition. Do pop by the Art Studio at Old School (we're right opposite 2902 Gallery) and meet our friendly artists!
